Republicans Deliver Solutions at Indianapolis City-Council Meeting
Friday, April 11, 2025
This week, Republican leaders on the Indianapolis City-Council brought much-needed solutions to the city’s snow removal policy.
Here’s what you need to know:
Faster Plowing for Neighborhood Streets – Second-priority streets will now be cleared when snowfall reaches 2 inches, down from the previous 6-inch threshold.
Improved Service for Residential Roads – Third-priority streets will now be plowed at 4 inches of accumulation instead of no plowing, ensuring that more neighborhoods receive timely service.
Expanded Coverage for Key Community Roads – Second-priority streets now include roads abutting schools (including publicly-funded preschools), township trustee offices, small claims courts, and connector streets, ensuring faster and more smart plowing for essential community services.
Republicans are stepping up to provide Marion County with the leadership and solutions it needs.
