At this week’s council meeting, Mayor Whitfield finally rolled out her “budget,” she failed to offer clear details and specifics—leaving both councilors and residents with more questions than answers.
THE BOTTOM LINE: Mayor Deb Whitfield creates chaos and dysfunction. Under her leadership, the City of Lawrence has faced a frivolous lawsuit, blatant accounting errors, a general disregard for public input, missed bond payments, and government audits. Her theatrics and mismanagement must go.
