Donut County Mayor Speaks Out Against Marion County Prosecutor’s Soft-on-Crime Approach

Carmel Mayor Sue Finkam did not hold back in a post yesterday, calling out soft on crime Prosecutor Ryan Mears for failing to hold repeat criminals accountable, putting surrounding communities at risk. The individual reportedly accumulated more than 30 criminal cases, many in Marion County, before going on to harm Carmel residents.

Mayor Finkam: “Carmel and other donut county residents pay the price when repeat offenders in Marion County cycle through the system without accountability… It’s time Marion County does their part and holds criminals accountable."

Philip Foust will bring real LEADERSHIP to the Marion County Prosecutor’s office. Foust believes “real compassion means protecting innocent people from becoming victims in the first place. Real justice means holding criminals accountable before their crimes escalate.”
