More Incompetence from Indianapolis Leaders
An investigative report from Mirror Indy revealed Mayor Hogsett's HR department was audited six years ago, and the report has yet to be released. Marion County GOP Chair Natalie Goodwin said this situation “reeks of intentional delay.” Read her full statement below:
“More incompetence from Indianapolis leaders,” said Natalie Goodwin. “Taking 6 years to audit a department with less than 20 employees reeks of intentional delay, especially amid credible sexual harassment and assault allegations against Marion County Democrats. Mayor Hogsett should release the HR audit.”
Continued Fallout of Democrat Sexual Assault Claims
Keith Graves, the Democrat Coucilor accused of sexual assault, was stripped of his leadership role on the Council’s Education Committee by Council President Vop Osili.
This is a small sign of life from Democrat leadership that forcibly removed a sexual harassment victim from a Council meeting and turned a blind eye to Mayor Hogsett’s inappropriate behavior with young female subordinates.
Public Safety Update
The Council is proposing fines for parents whose children violate the curfew rules. The full Council will vote on this proposal August 11. Read more about the curfew below:
IndyStar: “An Indianapolis City-County Council committee voted unanimously July 16 to make the youth curfew two hours earlier, meaning children ages 15-17 won't be allowed in public unsupervised past 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and past 9 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays. Children under 15 will face a 9 p.m. curfew every day… The only possible penalty is fining the parents or guardians of repeat violators up to $2,500 for a first offense and up to $7,500 for a second offense, according to city attorney Brandon Beeler.”
The violence downtown has caught the attention of Indiana Governor Mike Braun. The Governor says he’s willing to get involved if Indianapolis leaders fail to protect its residents.
